Hotter Summer Nights @ The Quirino Grandstand-April 30, 2011 PART 1

The air was humid at the Quirino Grandstand last night but it became sizzling hot as four curvaceous ladies strutted their awesome bodies during the Hotter Summer Nights Bikini fashion show!  But wait, there's more!  There was also the complementary concert participated in by 3 sexy all girl group:  The Gee Girls, The Playgirls, and Girlz Inc who provided the appetizer for the main event!  I was ablaze even before the first bikini model came out!

Parts 2 and 3 coming in the next couple of days.

This lady was in the Repsol van and was being
mobbed by photographers---e di naki shoot na din ako!

The Playgirls
The mark of the Bunny!
The girls chilling out before their set.

Shake it baby!

She's a back up dancer but she instantly became the crowd favorite with her
sexy-wild gyrations.  Part 2 of this blog will be devoted to her so you can see why.

Be Happy!

The most important component in finding true happiness is ACCEPTANCE.

This may seem to be a simple process but it is actually easier said than done. If you experience a nagging difficulty in any aspect of your life—it’s likely that the cause of this problem is the failure to accept reality as it is.

There are certain thing in life that we can change like job, address, haircut, girlfriend, boyfriend. However, there will be times when we cannot just change them on a whim. If you don’t like your boss you don’t just quit and say good riddance! Finding a job is hard nowadays. Your current house may not be as plush as you want it to be but do you have enough financial excess to move out and buy a new one? Or, you wanted to have a mohawk style hairdo but if you have a receding hairline like Bruce Willis there wouldn’t be much hair to style. What I’m saying is—in order to be happy in life you should find contentment with what you have.

Resentment is a disease that eats up the soul! If you have an abundance of resentment in your heart there can never be room for happiness!

I cannot tell you what to do. All I can say is—IT’S NOT A GOOD FEELING TO BE RESENTFUL! So, I chose to be happy! Try it! You may find it worthwhile doing!

You Don't Have to Go Through it You Know

"Good judgement comes from experience and a lot of them comes from bad judgement."---Arthur Bishop (The Mechanic)

I know I sound like a broken record but there is no skirting the fact that experience is the best teacher.  Why do you think that the cliche "learn from history" is so damned...CLICHE?  What I don't understand is that why is there a need to go through the same mistakes that others did?  Will personal experience make it more meaningful?

Imagine that you're walking in line when the second person ahead of you trips on a wire and falls on his face.  The person in front of you, caught by surprise, reacts slowly and trips on the same wire.  Well, being the third person in line, for you to trip on that wire would be utter STUPIDITY!

Thinking of this, I'm reminded of an episode of "Maynila" being shown during a bus ride some two weeks ago.  Boyfriend and girlfriend elopes.  Everything was spontaneous.  They said they love each other and want to spend their lives together forever.  They were suppose to hitch a ride with some friends, unfortunately, said friends got caught up in their own personal matters and did not arrive as expected.  What's hilarious is that these two lovebirds did not have any money between the two of them.  They are lost as to what to do next and almost end up being preyed upon by bad elements.  Moral of the story:  LOVE alone cannot guarantee survival.  As the old folks would say, "di mo makakain ang pag-ibig".  Giving in to your emotion can have disastrous consequences.  Think first before you act and for God's sake listen to those who've gone on the road ahead of you!

Daiana Menezes: A Beautiful Lady with an Equally Beautiful Heart

Show business people can sometimes be snobbish---well, not this lady!

Thank you to the nephew of my wife I got the chance to meet face to face with Ms. Daiana Menezes during her mini get together with Tweet-mates at the Diana Stalder Derm Clinic @ Edsa Central.  Actually, I begged him to let me join the entourage and offered to become his official photographer.  Tweet, tweet, tweet and I was in!

Daiana's "buddies" were teenage ladies and boys---fans who were surprised that Daiana obliged to their invite for a meet.  You can just see how much they were at awe with her down to earth attitude with them as if they were long lost friends.  She initiated picture taking, gave them hugs and kisses, and indulged in small talk with the dumbfounded fans.  Daiana's show of affection really overwhelmed them!  Me, I tried my darnest to be non-chalant about it but truth be known, I was numb to my senses when I was introduced to her.  She offered her hand and I shook it.  A kiss would have been welcome seeing her abounding friendliness towards everyone but I froze and lost the opportunity.  Not like me at all (and it has nothing to do with my wife being there).  But it was like seeing Aprodite in person and you just can't help but stare and be at awe!  Oh come on, give me a break---I don't get to meet gorgeous Brazilian models on a daily basis, do I?  However, what topped it all off was that she acted like an ordinary person having fun with friends.  No prima donna attitude.  She even ate bbq like any other.  I guess that trait of hers is her most endearing quality.

Personally, I had fun just taking pictures and bathing in her beauty but I'm sure the young ones had a real blast as Daiana prepared food, drinks and an afternoon of SPA-ing with her.

More power Ms. Menezes!  Stay as sweet as you are!
